Hello Rideau Nov. 29 | Book Fair, Lost & Found, Basketball Playoffs, Winter Concert, Volunteer Opportunities, Open Houses

Books Fundraiser | Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair has been an incredible success! We surpassed our goal of $4000 and sold $5859.70 in books and school tools! A very big thank you to our Rideau Community and Parent Council for supporting our Learning Commons and classroom collections. We would also like to thank our parent and student volunteers who helped make our fair such a tremendous success!

Lost and Found

We are starting to bundle up our lost and found items for November.  If your child has lost a jacket, hoodie, sweatshirt, hat, gloves/mittens (some singles), shoes and/or boots, please have them check the lost and found.

Any unclaimed items remaining on November 30 will be donated to a local charitable organization.

Safety Protocol | Guests to our School

Rideau Park School, like each Calgary Board of Education school, is closed campus.  All guests must sign in immediately upon entry into the school building.

In the mornings, or throughout the day, students are dropped off outside of the main entrance.

Reminder | Important Safety Notice for Parents/Guardians (pick-up and drop-off)

With the colder weather, we have increased congestion with cars trying to drop off closer to the school.  Even with the colder weather, we ask your cooperation for the same procedures with pick up and drop off.

Due to increasing safety concerns of neighborhood residents and our student community, policing of city bylaws relating to parking and traffic restrictions will be more strictly enforced in the coming months. Unfortunately, there is no car-accessible front door drop-off or parking availability directly at our school entrance nor from the t- intersection at the front of the school. Continue Reading
