Health & Wellness at the CBE

At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.

School Resource Officer

The role of the Resource Officer is to provide guidance and act as a legal resource for teachers, students, parents/guardians and the community at large. Part of this role is to encourage communication and greater understanding among young people and the Calgary Police Service (CPS).

Health Resources

Alberta Health Services provides health newsletters for the parents of children and teens (see below). Other useful resources are:

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile

Mosaic PCN is proud of its partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities®, Southern & Central Alberta (RMHSA), where we jointly operate the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile™. Staffed by registered dental hygienists, nurses, and pediatric dietitians, we provide free health programming to meet the specific needs of the NE and SE of Calgary.

Parent Information Series | AHS

The Parent Information Series is designed to answer frequently asked questions and give parents like you factual information that may help you prevent your children from using drugs, help them make healthy lifestyle choices and support them in making changes in their lives.

Community Education Service (CES) @CES_AHS

The Community Education Service (CES) provides parents/caregivers and other community members with opportunities to access free, public education sessions on child and youth emotional wellness and health topics.
