Registration at Calgary Board of Education (CBE) schools is not determined on a first come, first served basis. Registration and admission to schools in CBE is governed by the Education Act and Administrative Regulation 6090 | Child and Student Registration and Admission

Welcome to Kindergarten

Thank you to the families that were able to join us for our Kindergarten information session. We have the following resources available for you to reference. The PowerPoint we shared at the orientation can be accessed here:

Kindergarten Schedule

Rideau Park has an AM class only. Children attend class Monday to Friday from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm (except on the staggered entry days in September)

There are some kindergarten-specific 'Non-instructional Days' for teacher preparation that differ from the rest of the school. These 'No School' days for Kindergarten are:

  • October 10
  • December 5
  • February 26
  • April 23
  • May 14
