Staffing Update
Ms Riquelme and Ms Cochrane have been collaborating on staffing decisions for next year, and are very excited to introduce you to:
- Ms Soha Mohamed, who will be joining our elementary teaching team. Ms Mohamed has most recently worked at McKenzie Highlands School; and,
- Ms Elena Cristea, who will also be joining our elementary teaching team. Ms Cristea has most recently worked at University School.

Year-end Celebrations
Our Kinder students celebrated their achievements from this school year on Tuesday morning with their families. After the students sang two songs and Ms McDonald highlighted some special moments, each student was given a certificate indicating they’d officially finished their kindergarten year. Ms Riquelme was a guest at the kinder celebration....
The Grade 9 Farewell Assembly took place on Wednesday afternoon. We’re so proud of our students who are transitioning to high school. The Farewell Assembly was very student-focused focused with Grady W. Acknowledging of the Land, Jack G, and Abbott P talking about experiences at Rideau going back to kindergarten as Class Historians, Falyn T both emceeing and giving the Thank You speech, and Jodh G presenting a fabulous ‘A Look to the Future’ speech. Mr Robertson spoke at the assembly, wishing our students well in their next stage of schooling.
The Allan Family Award is presented annually to a grade 9 student who has demonstrated excellence in academics, sports, citizenship, and service. Mr Steve Allan came to the Farewell Assembly to present this year’s award to Jodh G. Congratulations, Jodh!
Back to School 2025-26
The Rideau Park website will start displaying back-to-school information starting the last week of July.
Kindergarten Staggered Entry
The staggered entry groups and times will be sent to parents on Friday, June 27, along with a flat sheet with some information and reminders. This message will be sent out via School Messenger. If you do not receive the information, ensure that you have your MyCBE account is active and have subscribed to School Messenger. The staggered entry groups and times, and informational flat sheet will be sent out again via School Messenger, at the end of August, just prior to the start of the school year.
Reminder | New School Hours
Our school hours are changing as of August 26, 2025. In short, class times will be shifting 15 minutes later on Mondays – Thursdays. Here’s a summary:

Early Dismissal 1:16 PM Friday

Monday - Friday
