Happy Valentines Day
Student Presentation | Const Tad Milmine
On Friday, February 23, Const Tad Milmine will be speaking with Grades 6 & 9 students about bullying prevention. Const Tad’s biography can be found on the website of his charitable organization Bullying Ends Here.
The school thanks the Rideau Park Parents Association for organizing this presentation for our students.
Update | Calgary Food Bank
From the Calgary Food Bank: “Thanks to generous community members like you, your "Rideau Park School Holiday Concert 2023" initiative brought in 280 pounds of food, helping us continue to feed those in our community facing food insecurity.”
We are very proud of our school community for the high participation in charitable initiatives like these.
Intra-School Volleyball
We are very proud of our Junior and Senior volleyball teams, all of whom have shown considerable skills and sportsmanship on and off the court. Students who stay after school to cheer on our volleyball teams are reminded that good sportsmanship is expected from spectators and that the area designated for spectators to watch the games is the stage.
Additionally, students can earn leadership time when volunteering to score keep and with assisting the referee with the court lines. A sign-up sheet is posted in the gym foyer to volunteer for these jobs.

Important Reminder | Student Pick-up and Drop-off
With the colder weather, we have increased congestion with cars trying to drop off closer to the school. Even with the colder weather, we ask your cooperation for the same procedures with pick up and drop off.
Due to increasing safety concerns of neighborhood residents and our student community, policing of city bylaws relating to parking and traffic restrictions will be more strictly enforced in the coming months. Unfortunately, there is no car-accessible front door drop-off or parking availability directly at our school entrance nor from the t-intersection at the front of the school. Continue Reading
