We had a wonderful first day! 

Just a reminder that Google Classroom will be our communication platform this year. If you are having issues logging in or accessing our Google Classroom, please email Ms. Lee at mmlee@cbe.ab.ca.

Welcome to Grade 2!

The first day of school is Wednesday, September 1! On the first day, Ms. Lee will be outside to greet students at 8:45.

Children’s safety and wellbeing remain our top priority. We will continue to follow many of the same health measures as the previous school year, such as masking indoors. Please see the email from CBE for more details.

What to Bring on Your First Day

·       Masks (to be worn when entering the school)

·       Indoor shoes

·       Lunch (hand sanitizer inside the lunch kit is recommended)

·       Water bottle

·       Outdoor shoes (running shoes are recommended)

·        Your “Me Bag”

Items for Your "Me Bag"

Please place everything inside a large Ziploc bag, labelled with your child’s name.

Required:

·       Book of choice

·       Tub of Playdough

·       Deck of playing cards

·       4 dice

·       Set of dominoes

·       Small notebook/sketchbook

·       Pack of 100 small index cards

·       Whiteboard marker

·       20 small objects for counting, such as: blocks, Lego, buttons, beads, beans, paper clips, etc. (placed inside separate small Ziploc bag)

·       Beaded number line: 100 beads on a string (2 colours of beads, alternating in groups of 10)

Optional:

·       Colouring tools, such as crayons or pens

·       Colouring book

·       Lacing cards

·       Small puzzle
